Maternity Session with Amy and Stephen...

The last time I saw Amy, I believe that she was squatting behind home plate giving me the signal for some chin music in the form of my famous rise ball. Our faces were smudged with dirt as we repped CT all over New England and even in some National tournaments for fast-pitch softball. We were 16. Then 17, then 18. Amy was my battery mate for summer ball and represented someone who's spunky personality and athletic prowess had been forged into my memory as a very special part of growing up.

Fast forward 13 years and we are now women. Between then and now, Amy became a wife, followed by the title of expectant mother. When Amy contacted me to photograph her as for a maternity session, I was so completely honored and excited to be the one chosen to preserve this memory in her and her husband's lives. It's so nice to reconnect with someone through such a happy occasion, and to see the wonderful path that she has been on. This is the type of stuff that makes my heart melt, and I am so glad to be able to share, connect, and capture these moments. Amy and Stephen, congratulations! I'm so glad that you have also chosen to keep the he/she question a surprise...I can't wait to meet the new little one when s/he arrives!

Halloween at the Vineyard: A Fabulous Party thrown by Chamard and Tova's Vintage Shop

I haven't been to a Halloween Party this fierce in a long time. I mean, this party rocked to the level of NY fierce. Yeah, I said it. I love me some serious fashion, attention to detail, and dressing up, and this party encompassed all of these things. It was costuming to the hilt in this showcase of characters, which offered varying colors, shapes, genres, and time periods. Oh, yes, this was one scream of a party. And it couldn't have been done better.

When asked to photograph this event, I was so excited...my only quandary was that Wonder Woman never wielded a camera. That is, until this year. She also was rockin' some curly red hair. This Wonder Woman was new and improved and captured magic moments with her magic camera. And I got captured by my fellow partiers who insisted on taking pictures of me, too. Thank you all for remembering the photographer!
